Most health specialists will tell you the more greens you eat; the less likely you will be to develop any type of chronic disease. The issue is most of us consume far less nutrient-rich greens than we should. With that in mind, we can’t take advantage of the health benefits, which can include reducing inflammation, enhancing detoxification and helping maintain a proper pH balance in the body.

An easy and convenient way to get more greens without chomping down bucket of vegetables is taking a “super greens” supplement. Consuming a greens supplement, such as a powder, can be a very reliable way to get your proper greens intake.

So you ask what are “super greens”? The most common are cereal grasses that include wheat, barley, alfalfa, spirulina and chlorella.

These grasses are usually dried at a low temperature and powdered. Because it takes more than a pound of greens to make a mere ounce of powder, these blends are usually very dense in nutrients. Greens may also be beneficial in being a phytonutrient antioxidant to help neutralize free radicals.

A dosage of this antioxidant-rich powder may also reduce or help repair oxidative muscle damage associated with exercise. This type of drink also may have the potential to reduce inflammation. Chronic inflammation in the body has be clinically and scientifically recognized to cause tissue and organ degeneration.

Please remember: while super greens powders can provide you with very powerful nutritional benefits, they aren’t a replacement for other vegetables in your diet. So it would be wise to consume a wide variety of fruit and vegetables in your diet.

Be Healthy and Go Green!!!!!!!!!!!!
