Hi my name is Caitlin, I am 21 years old and live in Topeka Ks working full time at a doctors office. My journey started shortly after i married my husband who introduced me to fitness back in August of 2013. I was overweight around this time and had very low self esteem. I had tried all kinds of diets, but i always fell off and went back to old habits. Finally, I remember telling my husband I was ready to change, that this wasn't the way I wanted to live. I knew if I had continued this path, where would I be in 5 years...10 years? I remember praying and telling God I just wanted to change and that i couldn't make this change without Him. Within the next week, I had developed a burning passion for fitness that has still continued to this day. I remember starting slow but never gave up! I lifted weights and incorporated cardio and always gave each workout everything I had! I also changed my nutrition habits entirely! To date, I have lost over 50 pounds. I started at 179 pounds and at 32 percent body fat; now I am currently 14 percent body fat and have ventured into the world of competing in NPC bikini division! I strongly believe having good supplementation is the key to maximizing your results, and, of course, a good attitude and passion for fitness!

The Importance of Protein in Your Diet

I never knew how important protein was until I started implementing it into my diet to lose weight. My diet used to consist of very low protein and a bunch of over­ processed food, and at this time I was very overweight. The foods I ate constantly had me wanting to eat more and I never felt satisfied.
